Located just southwest of downtown St. Louis, this 79 acre Garden world renowned for its beautiful and lush gardens and botanical research, offers a variety of spectacular locations for weddings receptions as well as wedding ceremonies. Spink Pavilion is the perfect venue for a rehearsal dinner or a smaller wedding reception. It can accommodate 90+ guests for a Seated Dinner. For a Cocktail Reception, it can accommodate 150 guests in the summer and 120 guests in the winter. Spink Pavilion, originally known as the Flora Gate, was built by Henry Shaw to serve as the main entrance to the Garden. This beautifully restored pavilion is situated on the grand plaza overlooking the three large reflecting lily pools, The Milles Sculpture Garden and the world renowned Climatron. Display beds along all sides of the lily pools brighten the area with flowers, including tulips, pansies, and unusual summer annuals. For a wedding reception with a larger guest count, Monsanto Hall is the venue for you. It can accommodate 200 guests for a Seated Dinner, 150 guests for a Buffet Seated Dinner, and 300 guests for a Cocktail Buffet (1/2 seating). Monsanto Hall is located in Ridgway Center, the visitor’s center and entrance to the Garden. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Garden from this magnificent room. With its barrel-vaulted ceiling and rotating art exhibits this spacious Monsanto Hall is an excellent choice for larger functions. The adjacent Spoehrer Plaza with its towering fountain centerpiece is also available in conjunction with the rental of Monsanto Hall.
