About This Business

With stately architecture, classic decor and lush outdoor settings, this venue is ideal for a traditional wedding. For couples who dream of an elegant, memorable affair, there’s no better place than The Whittemore House. This beautiful estate overlooking the Danforth Campus of Washington University in St. Louis was originally constructed in 1912 as a private residence, a wedding gift commissioned by St. Louis businessman and philanthropist Henry Harstick for one of his daughters. The Whittemore House was later purchased by Washington University. Since 1969, it has been used as a private faculty club, conference center, and a classic wedding venue.
